Centrally located between Salisbury and Basingstoke, Winchester is easily accessible for all our trainees. The ancient capital of England, Winchester is a beautiful cathedral city just off the M3 in Hampshire. The city has a thriving culture of independent shops, history and fine food.

Parking on university or hospital property without a valid permit will result in a parking penalty ticket being issued. ST3s on the day release course can apply for a special parking permit via the Course Administrator. Whilst we cannot guarantee parking, we do reserve a limited number of spaces for you to use. These fill on a first come first serve basis and once full you will have to park off campus.

Speakers on the day release course who require parking should contact the Course Administrator. All visitors to the campus are required to report to Main Reception on arrival.

Public Transport

The University is well serviced by public transport and we encourage visitors to utilise these alternatives:

By Rail: We are a pleasant 1 mile walk from Winchester train station where journey time to London Waterloo is only 1 hour.

By Bus: The Royal Hampshire County Hospital is on the Winchester Park & Ride route with buses every 10 – 20mins.

On campus there are several cycle racks and changing facilities should you feel energetic!
