Resilience, Pressure Management & Wellbeing
This highly interactive programme will demonstrate a range of practical tools to manage pressure, enhance resilience and stay on top of your inner-game; including how to:
- Manage Demands
- Control your Response
- Choose your Attitude
- Recognize when you are heading for ‘Survival Mode’; and
- Return quickly to ‘Competency Mode’
- Identify and Challenge Thinking Errors
- Distance yourself from Self-Criticism
- Distinguish Positive Stress (‘Eustress’) from Negative Stress (‘Distress’)
- Move towards an Internal Locus of Control
- Undo the potential harm of a Type A Lifestyle
- Activate the Relaxation response – and get a good night’s sleep!
The facilitator will be John Perry, MA, MA, MA, MSc, FHEA; a highly experienced Health Psychologist, Coach, Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist, Counsellor and Consultant with 25 years’ experience of helping individuals and organizations to thrive under pressure.
All attendees are asked to pay a catering contribution charge of £10 towards the cost of catering (light lunch, teas and coffees included). Educational cost is FREE to WGPET members, non-members will be charged £45 plus £10 catering charge.
WGPET Annual membership is now open to Practice Nurses at a reduced rate of £50, which allows free attendance for the year to a number of events organised by Wessex HEE patch offices. Please see the WGPET website or contact the WGPET administrator for further details
